@feysandpilled It’s just like how this society expects too much on mothers. They reduce them to certain things. They dont see anythin with Feyre coz this fandom only has a linear and simple minded image of an empowering woman.
Addition to this, Feyre antis never stopped comparing her to Nesta. With Nesta, they rave about how she’s queen, how she’s so powerful, how she’s carrying a lot in her pov. There’s no denying that but you can praise her but then be all scandalized that Feyre is breastfeeding,
feyre breastfeeding and talking about the changes her body went through as a new mother is a problem, becoming more confident and assertive is a problem, wanting to protect her son from war is a problem… it’s obvious that people will continue to criticize her no matter what she does because they just can't stand the fact that her character will always matter and isn’t going anywhere just because she’s a mother now
@feysandpilled Like I said, their feminism ends with Nesta. They can’t stomach the not so glamorous side of motherhood so they resort to calling Feyre a milk machine while Nesta is queen. And you see how they so weirdly move on Feyre being a mother but no comments on Rhys being a father?
they criticize SJM and analyze with a feminist lens on, it’s funny how the lens on ends on a single character. If a FMC being proud to narrate her motherhood journey while saving her court is not badass/queenly to you and you’re disgusted by it, then this book’s not for them
they’re so comfy and bold right now in cuddling with Rhys and wishing Nesta is in Feyre’s place. Deep down, they still downplay Feyre becoming a mother now to the point of comparing these women and their value in the story and to their partners. For a fandom that proudly claims
These people just need to go back and read acosf atp. Feyre antis weirdly moving and mocking her as a mom, while being simultaneously shameless to want your fave be with Feyre’s mate. The layers of misogyny seeping through.
“I feel unwell” Understandable coz this is just distateful 😭 And the audacity to compare them to ACOMAF Feysand? You’re unsatisfied with Cassian ok but just leave Rhys out of it. Years of Feysand being an iconic book couple, now the new breed wanted to steal?
there’s a whole different universe on tiktok because WHAT do you mean nesta and rhysand would’ve been the greatest enemies to lovers story ever written 😭
@FromHerOwnAshes It’s one of the telling signs for me that they are not fated mates. There are events in the book that have an opportunity for Gwyn to appear even just a glimpse that Az may not be aware of but the readers can tell it’s her. But we got nothing. Nothing in any of Az’s povs
Never seen a fandom doubt a MMC pov so much that it dismisses everything the MMC is feeling all throughout the book. Why is Az’s pov being boxed and force him to be this wholly unreliable character. If he narrates any physical desire towards Elain, it’s lust. If it’s an emotional
latch on. You can’t just have this idea put out there and not fulfill a total bond rejection. You can’t center the idea of choice with Elain here and have fate win at the end. Coz if it did, Elain’s choice is basically an illusion because it’s still fate that forged her destiny.
Could never convince me to ship Elucien because of two major things
1. I think it’s regressive to Elain’s arc + the missed opportunity to bring positive change that bonds can be completely BROKEN and how it’s helpful esp with miserable mated couples
2. Not a fan of ships who are
If we wanted to establish Sarah as a fated mates author, she’d never entertain the idea of a bond rejection. Never entertain the “biological component” of a mating bond and you can be mated to the “wrong person” this is clearly the vision and opportunity for Elain’s story to
And please spare me with all the it’s all lust arguments. Sarah made it clear that her recent books will feature more smutty content and she’ll add more as she pleases. Whether that would change your enjoyment on her new way of writing, that’s outside of it and a diff discussion
for the couple. If at the end of the book, all these arguments and fights ended up just for Az (and Elain) to be completely wrong and get all, yeah guys you were right all along, sorry for causing a disruption that triggered lost of our allies oops. An unfulfilling conclusion
