The government and the entire people of Zamfara were honored to have the rare privilege of hosting the former president of Nigeria, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo GCFR, for the commissioning of the rehabilitation and upgrading of the Ahmad Sani Yariman Bakura Specialist Hospital in Gusau. The former president also commissioned the Zanna Abarma road, which was executed as part of our urban renewal project.

The Yariman Bakura Specialist Hospital underwent extensive modernization with the renovation of 14 key departments and the building of new centers like the new radiology center, the new laboratory, and the new obstetrics and gynecology center.

We also equipped the hospital with state-of-the-art equipment and deployed technology for the hospital management system. We installed new MRI and CT scan machines, which we believe are revolutionary in the health sector in Zamfara.

These and many more in this sector are testaments to my administration’s resolve to improve the quality of life of our people.

We immensely thank President Obasanjo for joining us in witnessing development in our dear state.

I was gladdened to host my friend and brother, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, in Zamfara as our special guest of honor for the commissioning of the newly reconstructed Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Welfare and the Zamfara College of Arts (ZACAS).

These new edifices are a testament to our continued commitment to delivering the dividends of democracy to the good people of Zamfara.

I thank Senator Kalu, the Bachirin Zamfara for honoring our invitation to join us in celebrating progressive governance for the people of Zamfara State.

By the time Governor Dauda Lawal completes the transformation of the state, Kaduna people may one day abandon KD for Zamfara Insha Allah.

The Zamfara State Government is set to build 25 modern bus stops across the capital city, Gusau, in preparation for a future city bus system, aimed at improving transportation for students and the general public.

Right now, no one could have imagined the scale of the urban renewal projects under the Rescue Agenda of His Excellency. May Allah restore complete peace and lasting stability in our state.
