I am concerned by the harrowing display of mob injustice on 16 travelers from Northern Nigeria in Edo State.
This tragedy, which unfolded on March 28, 2025 in the Udune Efandion community of Uromi, is another sad reminder of the barbarity of jungle justice.
It is common knowledge that people from all parts of the country should be able to travel without facing any form of harassment or intimidation.
I urge the concerned authorities to launch a full-scale investigation into this sad incident and ensure that those responsible are brought to justice.
While praying for the repose of the victims, I extend my condolences to the their families, the Kano State Government and other affected states. - RMK
I was pleased to welcome the Chinese Ambassador to Nigeria, Mr Yu Dunhai to the Kano State Government House, when he led delegates of the Chinese Embassy on a courtesy visit.
Glad that the diplomat observed the mutual engagements enjoyed by the Chinese community in Kano and emphasised a willingness to sustain the outstanding bilateral corporation.
In turn, I extended warm hands of fellowship with the Peoples' Republic of China, adding that our administration is ready to sustain the age-long bilateral commitment to the overall development of the state.
I also reminded the delegation that Kano is endowed with a rich history of trade and commerce as well as an industrial hub that attracts business partners within and outside the country.
Our government has also enabled various incentives to attract investors through the newly adopted five-year multi-sectoral investment plan aimed at enduring foreign direct investment opportunities in Kano.
To enhance investment flow and ease of communication, I also called for the establishment of an exchange language assimilation centre that will provide opportunities for teaching and learning of the Mandarin in Kano. - AKY
I am in India to visit our students that are currently studying in different universities in the country.
As part of the engagements, I was pleased to hold an interactive session with students at the Sharda University, Delhi.
It gave me great pleasure to see the students in excellent spirit and enthusiasm, as it is worthy of mentioning that they are all putting flying colours in their results.
While a number of the students have already concluded their programs and are already back in Nigeria, a large number of them are in the process of concluding their program.
I am confident that they will all go back home to contribute their quota to our state’s development and we shall ensure that the opportunity to do that will be available for them.
We have to give special gratitude to the university management for ensuring that our children are well taken care of, I took satisfaction in the condition they’re in.
We shall provide more opportunities for the sons and daughters of Kano State to pursue postgraduate study at home and abroad, this is a cardinal responsibility of the Kwankwasiyya administration and we shall ensure its continuity.
It is also worthy of noting that many products of this program under the administration of Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso are today occupying critical positions of governance in our government. This is indeed epochal.
We shall continue to heavily invest in education and make it a non negotiable priority. Kano must succeed with education, and the state shall continue to be a leader in that regard. - AKY
I can confirm that civil and public servants in Kano have now received significant increment in their salaries as promised.
I thank them for their support and patience. We shall do more to improve their welfare. - AKY

The picture you posted is misleading this is the current situation of the market, today;
On behalf of my family and associates, I wish to felicitate with Former Vice President, H.E Atiku Abubakar on the occasion of his 78th birthday.
Wazirin Adamawa has made an indelible mark as a firm believer in democracy and as a patriot who believes in our nation.
I wish him many more years of service to our nation in good health and spirit. - RMK
In our commitment to encourage the security personnel in Kano, I handed over 78 patrol vehicles to the Kano State Police Command, today at the Government House.
The 44 units of Toyota Hilux and 34 units Sharon van will be deployed across all the 44 local government areas of the state, and each Divisional Police Officer (DPO) will have one vehicle attached to their units.
This donation is only a fraction of the numerous resources we have deployed to the police and other security agencies in Kano, and it is an initiative that is devoid of any political connotations.
I used the opportunity to warn criminal elements to stay away from our state as we are not relenting in ensuring that the lives and property of the people of Kano are protected and preserved.
I thank the Police Force and other sister agencies for their confidence in our leadership. We shall continue to be partners for the good of Kano and its people. - AKY
