I remember the first time I reared broiler chickens, I started with 80 day old chicks. I did everything right and was preparing them for Easter sales.

Then I met one girl. 😄

The very day I took her out, soldier ants invaded my poultry and wiped out all the chickens. I got back to the farm the next morning and was heartbroken. All my money, time, and effort… gone.

I was so pained that I blamed the girl. I blocked her immediately. I no even wan hear anything woman.

I gathered money again and bought another set of chicks. This time, I was fully locked in. I decided to sleep in the farm house. I fumigated regularly and poured used engine oil around the poultry house to stop soldier ants from crossing.

Then one night, it rained.

The rain washed away the oil, but trust me, I was sharp. As soon as the rain stopped, I poured fresh engine oil and went back to sleep.

Only for the wind to blow a plantain leaf across the oil barrier.

Those soldier ants used the leaf as a bridge.

They entered the poultry overnight and finished the chickens again.

I woke up the next morning to feed them and almost fainted.

Anyway, I don dey follow woman again. No be woman fault.

Na soldier ants. 😂
