Abbey Brass (Isle of Wight)

Abbey Brass is a brass band based on the Isle of Wight. The band was formed in 2021 and gives a regular series of concerts across the island.

Wow what a hoot! A fantastic concert in partnership with the IW Youth Trust. Thanks to everyone who supported us at Castlehold Baptist Church, Newport. Band members got 'down with the kids' and dressed up as their favourite characters from kids' musicals, TV shows and films.

🎵We are delighted to announce that Liam Downer has joined us on kit/percussion. Liam has been playing kit for eight years and is an exciting young talent. Welcome on board Liam!

Good to see our musical director Phillip Littlemore with his name in lights at last night's concert by the world famous Foden's Band. They played the world premiere of a new arrangement of his as part of the RNCM International Brass Band Festival:

A small contingent of Abbey Brass will be playing carols at The Star Coffee & Ale House in Ryde on Christmas Eve, starting at 6.30pm. Get there early as it is usually rammed!

🎄We had a wonderful evening entertaining a full house at Binstead Methodist Church last night. We said farewell to cornet player and founder member Peter McMurtry who is taking a break from banding for a while. All the best Pete and good luck in your future endeavours.
