Look, I’m no Jerry Jr. apologist, but imagine being raised in an environment in which adulterers and abusers are continually put and kept in places of authority all around you.
Imagine living in an environment where men in power are unfaithful or abusive all the time and rewarded.

Sometimes my brain gets stuck reading everything in Sam Elliott’s voice, and I feel like I can’t be the only one for whom this happens. I don’t know how to stop it, and I’m not sure I want to. Makes for some very interesting copywriting sessions
The statements coming from these terrorists are surreal - “I very much regret picking up those zip ties,” “I’m truly sorry for climbing the balcony of the Senate, I was caught up in the moment.” You showed up with a noose not a can of spray paint you racist, entitled fucks.
Michael Ray Stepanek, who told police he drove through a crowd of Black Lives Matter protesters in August because they needed “an attitude adjustment,” will avoid prison and have the incident erased from his record if he stays out of trouble for 3 years. https://t.co/K8IGTSTNp7
The part of this that's truly gut-wrenching is knowing it won't change anything. Republicans who egged this on will suffer no consequences, and they'll keep acting like people protesting against police violence are worse than those attempting to overturn election results
If anyone is shocked by what is happening, they have willfully ignored the people who have been sounding the alarms and providing copious evidence of this for YEARS.
This is a coup called for by Trump, enabled by politicians / pundits & actively encourage by cops
I’m only here to say just how upset I am that I’ve wasted even the slightest part of my life on Bridgerton after y’all (ahem, the entire internet) talked it up so damn much. That is all.
“I am a western chauvinist. I subscribe to the oldest, laziest form of dumb fuck entitlement. I cannot succeed without the benefit of oppression. I am terrified by the prospect of an equitable world. My world is framed by who delivers and who receives violence.”
