@angelina_josett Then inviestigate them and do what is necessary to get justice for what they did wrong. There are also a lot of protesters that are not peaceful, on the other hand, and I believe they should be punished for their violent acts as well. Not just one side is in the wrong.
@JennaElkassih @angelina_josett No I don’t understand. That goal will never be reached with these actions. If you can help @angelina_josett answer my questions please do so because it is not making sense.
The difference? There was no violence. The Boston Tea Party occurred and is taught becuase it was the beginning to The Revolutionary War and ultimately our country. So what are y’all trying to accomplish? How does that relate to The Boston Tea Party or the death of George Floyd?
The boston tea party was a historical moment that we’re taught in school when people rioted and protested against tax on tea. Now people are doing the same over the murder of an unarmed black man and suddenly it’s unethical and unamerican. spot the difference for me.
@angelina_josett @JennaElkassih I’m trying to make it make sense, that’s why I’m asking these questions. How does destroying black small businesses bring justice? How does the deaths of more black people bring justice?
@JennaElkassih @angelina_josett And my problem is the thousands of lives of ALL people. See a difference? I want love, peace, justice, and hope. You make it seem like you want destruction, more death, and stealing which results in hate.
@bparker_xii I know that. I’m just as mad at the white people. I want to get the point across that it’s not about race. I don’t see race, I see actions. Thugs aren’t black people. Thugs are people destroying their communities and our country claiming it brings justice when it only brings hate
@angelina_josett @JennaElkassih I’m sorry, but I don’t think saying f you is peaceful. Now for the ones that actually were peaceful and became riots because of cops, those officers should be investigated as well. But if they did everything they were trained to do, then maybe the protesters are in the wrong.
@JennaElkassih @angelina_josett No Jenna. We don’t need to riot. We just need to speak out. Do you not understand countless people are dying because of these riots. You have no problem with the people dying at riots?
@bparker_xii First of all, some insurances are saying they can’t cover all of these damages. I’m arguing that we stand together. People die each day, so let’s charge the one responsible for their death. But businesses, innocent citizens, and our president aren’t responsible for this death.
@angelina_josett @JennaElkassih The world is messed up and people of all races die each day so please don’t mess it up more by taking more lives through riots.
@angelina_josett @JennaElkassih Like I said before, the acts of the officer were unjust and I’m thankful he’s being charged. However, the autopsy came back with no signs of suffocation. Taking and destroying more lives does not bring justice.
@angelina_josett @JennaElkassih In the video I put a link to a white guy in 2016 called the cops on himself because he was off his meds and needed help. In response, these cops continued to put their knee on his back for 11 minutes, resulting in his death. Who knows his name?
Are Y’all Rallying/Looting For George Floyd Or Are Y’all Doing This Because You Have An Opportunity To Get Free Stuff? Majority Of The Businesses That Are Being Destroyed Are Black Businesses... So I’m Confused On This.
@JennaElkassih I agree that the acts of the officer were unjust and could’ve aided in Floyd’s death (not all the facts are out), but the autopsy came back with no signs of suffocation. Before you assume everything is about race, check your facts please https://t.co/x1gwcpZQgp
@JennaElkassih More lives, and more to come, have resulted from these riots. So who’s the one that cares about human live, no matter the race? The one who wants peaceful protests that will protect lives, or the one who is willing to lose countless people and destroy their country?
@JennaElkassih But we both agree that lives are precious, and stated by Ceaser Chavez, have no right to be taken, no matter the cause. I understand many people did not like MKL. That’s part of what makes me respect him so much. He fought peacefully, even with backlash and an assasination.
@JennaElkassih What’s the good reason? Remember the Ceaser Chavez article we read in English? You asked how else we can protest. I think it would be beneficial for a lot of people to read this.
@JennaElkassih Can you stop avoiding my topic? People a HURTING from these riots. Black, brown, white, or any other race this violence is destroying this country. Can you not see how quickly this country has become even more divided after just 4 days.
