If you intend to buy shares in the Dangote Refinery IPO, bookmark this.
The worst time to start preparing for Africa’s biggest IPO is the day the offer opens.
Here is what to do:
STEP 1 — Get your account ready
@ZedcrestWealth Securities is one of the joint stockbrokers on the IPO.
Register here:

Complete your KYC and confirm that your CSCS account is active. Starting early gives you time to resolve any verification issues before the offer opens.
STEP 2 — Decide how much you can afford
Do not use your rent, emergency fund or borrowed money.
An IPO is still an investment. The share price can rise or fall after listing.
Set your maximum amount before excitement takes over.
STEP 3 — Read the prospectus
The reported offer is 4.1 billion shares at ₦525 each, which could raise about ₦2.15 trillion.
But ₦525 is only a price. It does not tell you whether the shares are cheap or expensive.
Read the prospectus and examine:
• Revenue and profit
• Operating cash flow
• Debt obligations
• Expansion costs
• Crude supply arrangements
• Dividend policy
• Use of the IPO proceeds
• Major risks
Do not let a household name do your due diligence for you.
STEP 4 — Pay attention to the valuation
The SEC reportedly registered 120.13 billion existing shares alongside the 4.1 billion-share offer.
That would give approximately 124.23 billion shares after the offer.
124.23 billion × ₦525 = roughly ₦65.2 trillion.
That is the valuation investors must examine against the refinery’s earnings, cash flow, debt and growth prospects.
A great company can still be a poor investment if you pay too much for it.
STEP 5 — Apply through the official channel
The order book is reportedly expected to open on September 14, but confirm the date and full terms in the official offer documents.
Once the offer is live, you can apply through @ZedcrestWealth .
Applying early can help you avoid last-minute KYC or payment problems. It does not guarantee preferential allocation. The allotment rules in the prospectus will determine what every applicant receives.
STEP 6 — Prepare for any outcome
If demand exceeds the available shares, your application may be scaled down and the balance refunded according to the offer terms.
After listing, the share price may rise or fall. An IPO price is not a guaranteed floor.
The name is Dangote. Your return will still come from the numbers.
By the time the offer opens, there will be people chasing the excitement and people who have already done the work.
Be in the second group.

Dear UEFA, @ChampionsLeague
I am just trying to understand the rules at this point… Same foul, different outcomes… are we missing a page in the rulebook or are we just wearing the wrong badge?
Because it’s becoming a pattern at this point. When it’s against us, it’s waved off instantly; no second look, no VAR check, nothing. But in other games, similar incidents are reviewed and given without hesitation.
So we have to ask what exactly is the standard here? And more importantly, does that standard apply equally to everyone?
At this point, it’s only fair to wonder… is there something we’re not being told? Is there an agenda against Barça, or is there a reason these decisions consistently go the same way?
We’re not even asking for favors, just transparency, consistency, and the same level of scrutiny every other team seems to get.
Are we asking for too much???💔
