@sam91732613@KIN110UofR At my previous college, hazing is something acknowledged and accepted by the college. But the actions are not harmful and the players are not injured mentally or physically.
@KIN110UofR This article shows the relationship sport has with political expectations and traditions of different cultures and how athletes use their platforms to discuss important topics. Is it appropriate for athletes to use their platforms in this way?

@KIN110UofR This image clearly outlines the pros and cons to media coverage in sport. I often choose to watch sports from home, I find it much more enjoyable and affordable! What are your thoughts? https://t.co/HK8VC5eI5R #mediaandsport
@KeiraDerkson@KIN110UofR It would take a lot of time and potentially invade privacy, but they could do things such as bag checks to stop people from bringing outside substances into the game.
@KIN110UofR This site explains hazing and the psychological effects of hazing. It also provides example of alternative methods of team bonding. What other ideas would aid in team bonding/initiations? #teamplayer

@cara_francoeur@KIN110UofR I don’t think it should be banned for athletes as it is also, for some, part of a morning routine. However, I think there should be a set maximum intake an athlete can take that is below the recommended amount.
@KIN110UofR This article deviance and what causes it. It explains why deviance can be manipulated and acceptable in sport. It also explains some of the trends of deviance outside of sport that are influenced by sport. https://t.co/RLUxrZKgdQ #gamesmenshipanddeviance
@KIN110UofR This post discusses eliminating racism in the workplace and uses Racial Bias Training as its approach! Racial Bias training essentially creates a safe space, creates awareness of individual differences, and reinforces anti discriminatory laws! https://t.co/rNWVNKieoX
@KIN110UofR@KIN110UofR I think organizations should be responsible for ensuring that athletes have access to an accountant. Accountants can manage their taxes and help them understand investments and pension plans, this would help set them up for their future! #moneymanagement
@KIN110UofR The playground near my house was an old, shaky, wood one. We used to play grounders and climb all over it! I think I probably broke every safety guideline in the book! It promoted risky play, which promoted a sense of freedom and adventure!
@KIN110UofR@KIN110UofR More accessibility to community organizations and recreation leagues allows children to participate in sport without the pressure of intense competition!
@KIN110UofR This article explains the importance of being involved in both music and sports and the benefits associated with both! Do you think that there should be such a big divide between choosing music or sport? #kin110#musicandsport https://t.co/X6FMP4bxjz
@KIN110UofR@KIN110UofR Throughout high school I had a good balance of sport and music programs. Both helped me engage with people around me and help me learn team building and commitment. I now curl and play softball and slow pitch recreationally. #sportinsociety#recreationalactivities
@KIN110UofR@KIN110UofR I feel as though curling in small town Saskatchewan as a female was pretty culturally accepted. However living somewhere else (Europe/South America) the sport opportunities would have been very different, with sporting options and gender roles. #his/comp/sensitivity
@KIN110UofR I found it interesting how the writers of the article narrowed down the parameters of what makes a sport a “sport.” However, I disagree that competition should determine whether a sport is a “sport” if it still requires physical exertion and skill. #kin110
