My whole family asks me why I’m single all the time. Y’all. It’s a Friday night and I’m sitting on my bed building new enclosures for my tarantula and jumping spider. Ain’t no man wants that.
My dad’s love language is gift giving. He went with me to a reptile show yesterday to get feeder insects. I showed about 3 seconds of interest in this baby tarantula that looked like a blueberry. Her name is now Stevie and she really likes crickets.
Laying on the couch, snuggling a baby bearded dragon is the best feeling. This tiny little thing trusts me enough to sleep on me and I couldn’t love it more.
I wish people would just stop getting animals if they can’t afford to take care of it. If you can’t cover a standard vet check, proper food, and proper husbandry don’t get the animal. They’re not toys. Just stop.
I just realized I have my animals vitamins and supplements laid out for every day and I never forget to give them to them. However for myself I have timers set, pill planners, and I’m lucky if I take my multivitamin once a week… I really do love them more than I love me.
If I’m working and say I can’t help you, and you get mad, then I apologize but still want to act mad… that’s a you problem. We’re grown and I have more stuff to worry about.
If you aren’t laughing until you’re crying at least once a day, opening 20 pictures of baby calves and cows, all while planning your wedding in your mind… he ain’t the one.
