A6: Like our student outreach committee does, we just need to reach out and advertise what we do. Most people would definitely like to use the WC, but there are people that simply don’t know about it, and we need to reach out to them. #wcchat

A7: Absolutely. In whatever you do, you should surround yourself with other methods and opinions to widen your skillset and views. #wcchat

A6: Your tutee’s opinions are just as valid as yours. The tutoring session should be collaborative: not one person telling the other what to do. #wcchat

A5: Getting to go to the MTSU writing center as a group for the first time really made me feel a sense of community. People that I had never met and would otherwise have little to nothing in common suddenly became people that I felt a strong sense of community with. #wcchat

A4: Everyone is always going to have different ideas and opinions on how things should be done, so it’s important to step back and critically assess your own methods and listen to others; they have just as much reason to believe in their methods as you do yours. #wcchat

A3: We’re always ready to invite people in. Through open houses, fun advertisements, we try to communicate that everyone has a place in our writing center. #wcchat
