Today we took a field trip to Sharpe Reservation! We looked at tadpoles and other pond creatures and enjoyed cool views in planetarium. We also worked together to build shelters out of branches, rocks, and leaves. So fun!
For MSED 581, our cohort went to Netherwood Elementary School to play the math games with students and their families! @BellaRiviezzo1 and I created an engaging math game involving music and movement to help students solve math problems. Overall, family game night was a success!
Today was Science Saturday! We went to Adriance Memorial Library in Poughkeepsie and conducted our experiments. I did “Elephant Toothpaste” but we had a wide variety of great experiments! I had a great time working with all the kids! #MSED583#Maristedu

I think some leaders are afraid to give responsibilities to others because they are ultimately responsible for the outcome. But, that's what the effective leaders do. They build trust, through relationships, which allow others to lead, while they provide support & encouragement.
As teachers, we must prioritize what we are valuing when we give students assessments. Are we valuing their writing proficiency, knowledge of the content, grammar, etc.? Prior to giving any assessments to our students, we must create high and clear expectations for all. #epsy506
