Request to Pastors: Instead of telling covid-worried congregants, "come back, we have made it safe," Please say, "come back, as we have some wise practices in place." Why? Following Christ is not always safe, & we must not disciple people to only engage their faith if safe.
we are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not driven to despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed; always carrying in the body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be manifested in our bodies.
I usually don’t post stuff like this on here but TODAY MAKES 9 MONTHS SOBER !!!!
I would have laughed 9 months ago if you would have told me I would have made it to today, but that goes to show what God can do in someone’s life!!
If I wear a mask and the doctors are wrong, the least I've done is inconvenienced myself. If I wear a mask and the doctors are right, I may have prevented someone I care about from contracting COVID. Let’s love our neighbors well. Mask up and count it ALL joy
ill stand before the Lord one day and tell Him how i stewarded my social media. ill have to tell Him if i prayed for my persecutors or if i fought back. ill have to give an account to Him, not to people who will be offended by truth.
do it to be obedient. not to appease others.
But I do not account my life of any value nor as precious to myself, if only I may finish my course and the ministry that I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God.
My first year of college I did a speech on “Why Porn is Good.”
Fast forward 20 some years later, and this morning was studying the Gospel of Matthew.
What changed? God changed me. Don’t expect the unconverted to desire holiness.
Don’t preach morality, preach the gospel!
