The Eucharistic Miracle of Santarém in Santarém Portugal, one of the most powerful Eucharistic miracles in the history of the Church.

In the 13th century, a woman who was deeply troubled about her husband’s fidelity went to consult a sorceress (a witch) for help. The sorceress told her that she must bring a consecrated Host (the Holy Eucharist) from Mass.
The woman attended Mass at the Church of St. Stephen and, instead of consuming the Host, she hid it in her veil and took it home. On her way back, the Host began to bleed profusely, staining her veil with blood.
Terrified, she placed the bleeding Host inside a wooden chest in her home. That night, the chest began to emit a brilliant supernatural light that filled the room. When her husband saw it, she confessed everything.
The next day, they returned the Host to the parish priest. When the priest opened the chest, he found the Host still bleeding. It was reverently placed in a wax vessel, but even then, the Host would sometimes bleed again.
The miracle was investigated and approved by the Church, and the same miraculous Host has been preserved and venerated for centuries in the Church of the Holy Miracle in Santarém,
as a sign of the Real Presence of Christ in the Eucharist.

It remains one of the oldest approved Eucharistic miracles in the Catholic Church.
