Trump 90 days ago: "Operation Epic Fury โ is that a great name? It's only a great name if you win. And we've won. Let me tell you, we've won. You never like to say too early you won โ we won. We won. In the first hour it was over. We won."
@FrankLuntz It could happen months from now. But will definitely happen before the mid-terms.
Or it could also happen a year from now. But definitely before the '28 election. ๐๐
A good question is why does a Republican majority mean mindless opposition to impeachment and rubber stamp confirmation of even the must unfit characters? And which directional error is more dangerous for the Republic?
Mike Johnson - perhaps the face of the evangelical church in congress - back at it and spreading lies about so called voter fraud. After literally architecting the Big Lie which directly led to Jan 6th. ๐ก๐คฆ๐พ
This is grotesquely irresponsible.
Why do Republicans think a scandal-ridden reality-TV star was going to perform well in one of the bluest districts in the nation in a likely blue year? They liked his AI videos?
I hate the way California counts ballots, but claims of fraud requires evidence of fraud, not outcomes you don't like.
The irony here is that while people have earnestly held beliefs over why they believe what they believe, there is probably nothing keeping specific religions off of these lists that an in kind donation of the right size would not immediately take care of ๐คท๐ฝ๐ฐ
Yeah actually to be a Christian, one must accept the Trinity. it is Christianity 101. And I appreciate there are lots of people out there who disagree, but they are, in fact, wrong. They can complain all they want, but the Trinity is a basic Christian belief.
Speaker Johnson, like Trump, sowing doubts on CA results.
I asked him about any evidence to back up their claims
โSome of these efforts are so diabolical and so far upstream it is impossible to prove,โ he said. โBut think everybody knows instinctively something is wrong here.โ
I get the idea that consultant-driven, robotic, talking-point politicians are both annoying and often incompetent and ineffective.
But the solution to that problem isn't to elect people *worse.* And the idea that messy and scandalous lives are somehow more "authentic" is absurd.
Hang out in a prison. Lots of authenticity there, not much leadership. We're supposed to be electing leaders, not people who remind you of your troubled cousin or your crazy uncle.
This is unhinged. If a family member behaved this way, you'd worry about them. If a CEO behaved like this, the board would meet. He's living in an alternate reality and furious when a person won't indulge his fantasies.
@burkeholland She's objecting to use AI not a computer.
If she can be as effective without it as others at her level are with it, should it really matter?
@CreedConfession Yeah the Pope who drew fire from Silicon Valley millionaires for calling out potential harms of AI and from the president & his administration after criticizing the demonization of immigrants and the war-mongering is real popular these days
