No. 8 Northwest Gale or Storm Signal is effective starting 22:10 HKT. The @HKObservatory says it may raise No. 9 Increasing Gale or Storm Signal by early Sunday (26th).

The last issuance of this warning was during Typhoon Ragasa (#NandoPH) in 2025.
