@benbackupbackup Oh, you're now trying to make the arguments you couldn't during the actual debate? That's such a shame.
You lost. Get over it. There's no way to reverse it.
Anyway, you're wrong anyway.

@RyanBissonnett1 It's all lies, you can check through my account typing @volkvulture1 "collectivization" or "soviet union" or "stalin" etc and find answers to much of what they've said there
good luck
Friedrich Engels, the noted companion of Marx, using the dialectical materialist outlook of Communism, famously predicted the Great War in 1887. He also anticipated the Russian Revolution. Lesser known, however, are his remarks on what would cause America to look to Communism. 🧵
@FabrizHegeliano Wheatcroft himself admits that "excess mortality" is difficult to determine
Internal relocation in war time is not "ethnic cleansing" since the object of the move was not to make the area "ethnically homogeneous"
The USSR is the most lied-about country to ever exist.
After winning its revolution, essentially every major capitalist country invaded the USSR because Lenin refused to pay international debts.
After surviving that, the USSR continued to be heavily sanctioned and constantly smeared until the Nazis, whose war machine was propped up by Western financial interests, attacked the USSR on behalf of the West as a puppet.
The USSR survived this as well, once more proving the superiority of Communism.
Then the West once again launched an attack on the USSR via a Cold War, almost nuking the entire planet just to make sure Communism would "disappear" from Russia.
A question for all those skeptical about history: Why was the USSR under constant siege by the financial elites that control the planet? What exactly was Communism's 'crime'?
This question is easy to understand once you study history. The USSR refused to submit Russia and its vast resources to Western financial banks to loot.
@EsquibelGk@atheiskeptic@PamphletsY The State-owned enterprises comprise about 60%+ of the market capitalization in China, so yes, it's socialism
I literally go with what Engels said about MOP owned by nation
@azrt12_boss @cafreiman It definitely did open up to world trade and development
The State-owned enterprises comprise about 60%+ of the market capitalization in China, so yes, it's socialism
Socialism doesn't have a "definition", but Engels says it's gradual ownership "by the nation" of MoP
@MarlboroMaoist @DerCheruskerML @TheSpaceSoviet Lenin says socialism is the class struggle itself
If a state exists, so do classes
Engels similarly says that a millionaire (today's billionaire's) stock exchange man can be a socialist
This is the crucial point to understand China's socialist market economy:
The state maintains public ownership of the natural monopolies, to prevent rent-seeking by capitalists.
Markets are an *instrument*, to encourage industrial production and innovation, but the interests of the people trump the interests of private capital.
For China, boosting manufacturing in the real economy will always take precedence over boosting market caps and shareholder dividends.

the only way communism succeeds is through patriotism
what is patriotism? patriotism is the love of your people, the common familial and cultural bonds that you have shared for generations, the foundational basis of your history and common identity
most leftists fail and are Trotskyists, because they attempt to shame people into accepting communism, instead of appealing to their sense of responsibility and duty to their country and community, without fully understanding their material conditions and personal concerns, bulldozing it under their own (and often white supremacist) view of how society should be
successful Marxists appealed to their people first:
Lenin spent over a decade in exile, but continuing to educate and agitate and write about the conditions in Russia and how his people were being exploited by the Czar.
Mao's struggle against the Japanese as well as his support for the vast peasantry won him the decisive means to defeat the better equipped KMT
Kim's decade long guerrilla warfare against the Japanese won him the support against the traitors in the south and trust of his people
Ho Chi Minh's 30 year expedition all over the globe in serach of an answer against French colonialism won him the respect as "Nguyen Ai Quoc", or Nguyen the Patriot
it is this patriotism that was able to overcome insurmountable odds against an insane nuclear power ready to genocide an entire nation for its political aims
nothing else defeats western imperialism and capitalist perfidy
what are you doing to make communism appealing to the masses besides purity fetishes and finger pointing as to who's more racist/sexist/transphobic/identiy nonsense?
what have you actually done or petitioned for the American people? why would they ever follow someone who just preaches to them instead of fights for them? in every successful instance of communism, it was the PEOPLE that won the revolution, because they believed that communism would bring forth a better life for them, and it did.
actual communists, especially in America, where Cold War propaganda against communism is rampant, need to figure out how EXACTLY communism benefits every person they reach out to, and be able to explain concretely why. otherwise, they will lose, as they have always done for the past 100 years.
