@FrugalLocal 36% is only on the ‘marginal income’. Better to look at your ‘effective’ tax rate to understand what tax you will actually pay on the rental income.
@stealthy_wealth Thanks. If one donates an asset where a profit was made, to a spouse. Can the spouse then sell the asset to realise the gain, and then pay CGT at their marginal rate (assuming its lower than the other spouse)?

@fincoachsa Without knowing the product, it’s clear that there is an “initial advice fee”, and a “penalty” if the client terminates/redeems before the end of the term. These are worth unpacking individually.
