THE COPPER MARKET FLIPPED FROM EXPECTED SURPLUS TO DEFICIT.

Reuters reported that mine disruptions forced analysts to rethink the balance, with the market expected to face a 150,000-ton deficit in 2026 after major disruptions in Indonesia, Congo and Chile. That is how quickly supply assumptions can change in mining.

Demand does not need to explode for copper to tighten if major mines underperform. For an explorer like NRED, that is the important part of the cycle. Wilmac is an early-stage bet on future copper-gold supply, and future supply becomes more valuable when existing production keeps surprising to the downside.
