Iranian-American here. I’ve voted against Trump 3x and I voted for Obama 2x. And what Javier said about Iran was an ignorant slap in the face to 90 million Iranians who have been suffering under this brutal regime.

In January, tens of thousands of innocent Iranian civilians were brutally, massacred, raped, and tortured by this regime in 48 hours. And yet he told the reporter afterwards that he believed that to be “a lie” like Iraq’s WMDs.

There’s a reason why he was the only one with that message tonight. Because it’s an ignorant point to make that hypocritically oversimplifies a complicated and tragic situation simply to fit virtue signaling for an outside agenda.

Clearly, he doesn’t think Iran needs to be free. This is binary thinking. It’s possible a person could want a free Palestine, not want war, and yet respect the fact that this is a brutal and evil regime that needs to be stopped for the sake of peace.
