At a point in my life, I used to compare myself with some of my friends and contemporaries who are doing better than I am. Then I realized that most of them are people who have families that could afford to say take this 100m go and start your life. From that moment, I stopped comparing and started thanking God more.
Pastor Adefarasin is the son of Late Justice Adefarasin, one of the big boys of pre-independence Nigeria. Full time elite. He used to say something to his church members which I know they don’t understand. He says, “we are common villagers.. even the most elite among us. How did we forget so quickly where we came from?”
Today, Nigerians want Nigeria to compete with America. They want to compete with Germany. Of course aspiration is allowed. The problem is are they willing to put in the work?
The more qualified the more silly. A HR who prides herself as one of Nigeria’s most qualified once sent me a query and i asked her what exactly did i do? She had no idea. Did you mean you just sent a query because you were asked to? No agency. The higher the heels 👠 the more you’ll be disappointed. The sleeker the suite the more unbothered.
They don’t read their emails. Nothing excites them but money they haven’t earned. Even if Nigeria was to borrow $1 trillion to once and for all lift the economy isn’t this the same people who will run it in their different capacities? Lazy people with zero imagination. I bet they will run the country down.
Come and be like UK make I see na.

I just saw a crocodile farm with a genius idea. They raise pigs beside the crocodile farm. Since pigs are shameless breeders, they produce enough piglets that grow up fast to feed the crocs with. Bacon is a general meat but crocodile meat is more of an exotic meat.
Once they need to feed the crocs, they just drive a few pigs into the crocodile's pond. Being a water loving animal, the pig would walk inside the pond by itself. Genius!
I am sure a lot of people in this setting would not like this lady. It is always as if she is hitting a hammer on their head with her analysis.
Her understanding about the Nigeria economy and geopolitics is apt 🥰🥰
I made my first million outside salary through sales incentives.
The first time I earned ₦1 million in incentives came from a 1% commission from a ₦100 million sales.
The second time came from a ₦200 million sales.
Sales is one of the few careers where your income is not completely tied to your monthly pay.
These deals were just from three customers and I didn't do much to close the transactions.
There are challenges in sales. There is pressure. There are targets.
But there is also something many roles don't offer: The opportunity to earn above your salary.
You don't get it elsewhere by just doing your job.
