4th consecutive seamless-noiseless day of price hike!
Government has cumulatively increased petrol price by Rs16 per liter, to Rs327.
Diesel price in four increases has been raised by a total Rs52 to Rs375/litre. PM or his cabinet has not humbly taken credit.
Note—read below Petroleum Minister’s Statement about Ogra chairman!
People get price hike- Bureaucrats to get Rs1.8b new allowance!
The federal cabinet has approved another special allowance for top bureaucracy – the second in four years – and sanctioned Rs1.8 billion budget in the middle of a further extension in austerity measures and a 7% raise for all government employees. https://t.co/7szwkGtSjH
@FCBJimmy_ Nope, these are what you call system players. They play well inside a specific system and struggle outside that. Rodri is examples of great players but will definitely suffer outside a specific system.
Honda CD 79 costs around Rs. 159,900 as per its website. And 18% GST is included in it.

@PunjabRevenue@MaryamNSharif
@MohUmair87@PunjabRevenue I went to Lahore branch. And I can confirm that this is indeed the case. When asked, the manager said FBR fined them unfairly due to some so-called discrepancies in tax amount due to 5% vs 16% that's why now we charge 16% for every payment.
All bullshit. Never went back again.
There was a reduction of 21 paisa in petrol price in international market. But the government further increased the tax by Rs17.91 per litre to increase price to Rs415.
What sort of economic management is this?
Now Government is charging Rs117.5 per litre levy on petrol. This is even higher than Rs80 per litre agreement with the IMF.
Economy has been rendered into an accounting exercise. The cost of failure of FBR and the failure to seek any relaxation from IMF in pre-war targets is paid by common people.
