They are calling on 𝐃𝐫. 𝐀𝐛𝐢𝐲 𝐀𝐡𝐦𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐩 𝐢𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐦 to finally free Tigray from the grip of the TPLF and the shadow of Eritrea.
After years of blood, betrayal, and endless war, the people are done begging for scraps of peace. They demand liberation. They demand security. They demand a future that is not dictated by those who have already destroyed so much.
This is not a request.
This is a demand:

A Citizen’s Legal Petition Submitted to the International Community in Exercise of My Lawful Right to Serve as a Citizen’s Voice
I, as an Ethiopian citizen and legal professional, respectfully submit this individual legal petition to the international community in the exercise of my constitutionally and internationally recognized rights to raise concerns, provide information, and contribute to the protection of justice, human rights, peace, and respect for international law.
This petition is founded upon fundamental rights recognized under both national and international legal frameworks, including the rights of access to information, freedom of expression, the dissemination of information, and the lawful submission of concerns regarding possible violations to competent authorities. These rights are expressly guaranteed under the Constitution of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, the United Nations Charter, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR), and the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights .
Grave Concerns Warranting the Attention of the International Community
As is visibly reflected in the video attached hereto, individuals reported to be members of the Eritrean military are seen being welcomed by a hardliner faction of the TPLF, accompanied by the Tigray Regional Flag, reportedly within the sovereign territory of Ethiopia in the Tigray Region.According to multiple Tigray and Eritrean social media sources, the event is reported to have taken place within the Tigray Region of Ethiopia. It has also been reported that these Eritrean military personnel held meetings with the TPLF hardliner faction to discuss various political matters.
If these reported actions are verified, they may constitute unlawful border crossings and the unauthorized presence of Eritrean military personnel within the sovereign territory of Ethiopia, potentially violating Ethiopia's sovereignty as protected under Articles 2(4) and 2(7) of the United Nations Charter. These provisions require Member States to respect the territorial integrity and political independence of other sovereign states and prohibit interference in their internal affairs.
The alleged violations of the above mentioned provisions of the United Nations Charter would not be unprecedented. The reports of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights, and the Secretary-General on the situation of human rights in Eritrea, released on 12 May 2025 contain findings and allegations relevant to these concerns, including matters relating to the Eritrean armed forces and their reported activities affecting Ethiopia.
Taken together, the aforementioned reports and the attached video raise serious concerns regarding the alleged destabilizing role of the Eritrean Government in the region and the possible violation of Ethiopia's sovereignty, territorial integrity, political independence, and the fundamental principle of non-interference in the internal affairs of a neighboring sovereign state.
Accordingly, I respectfully request that the United Nations and the broader international community undertake, or support, an independent, impartial, and evidence-based assessment of these reported developments. I further urge all relevant actors to take appropriate measures, consistent with international law, to uphold respect for Ethiopia's sovereignty and territorial integrity, reduce regional tensions, and help prevent further instability.
This petition is submitted in good faith, solely in the interest of justice, peace, respect for international law, and the prevention of further conflict in the Horn of Africa.
