J’ai eu l’honneur de participer à l’audience accordée par le Président de la République, Son Excellence Ismaïl Omar Guelleh, à Dr Brook Taye, PDG de l’Ethiopian Investment Holdings et à la délégation du Dangote Group.

Deux projets énergétiques stratégiques ont été examinés : un pipeline pour le transport des produits pétroliers raffinés entre les ports de Djibouti et de Deweleh (Éthiopie), ainsi qu’un futur gazoduc et oléoduc pour l’exportation des ressources énergétiques éthiopiennes via Djibouti.

Le Chef de l’État a donné son accord de principe pour la mise en œuvre de ces projets d’envergure.

Today in #Jijiga #Ethiopia, during the Jigjiga Forum, I shared a core message at the Horn of Africa Inter-Elite Dialogue on #Peace and #Security:
“The future of the Horn cannot be built on suspicion or rivalry.
It must be built on trust, coordination, and shared responsibility.
This is why economic integration and #economic #corridors must remain central to our regional vision.”
In a region too often shaped by fragmentation and geopolitical competition, we must reaffirm a simple but strategic truth: connectivity creates interdependence, and interdependence creates stability.
Our ports, corridors, energy links, digital infrastructure, and trade routes should not become instruments of division, but foundations for collective #prosperity and durable peace.
The #Horn of #Africa possesses the #geography, the #demographic potential, and the #strategic relevance to emerge not as a theatre of rivalries, but as a space of #cooperation, #coordination, and #shared #opportunity.
#Djibouti remains committed to this vision of regional #togetherness, pragmatic #integration, and constructive #dialogue.
