I don’t blame you guys; I blame us.
The fact that you people believe we are stupid enough to believe that a man created an agency on his own, gave himself an office in the federal secretariat on his own, created a CBN account on his own, submitted a budget, and got billions from that budget when the Ministry of Health received 36 million all on his own is what I find really, really annoying.
I hate what you guys are trying to sell to us.
Looks like someone in Washington just updated the travel schedule.
"America First" has a way of becoming "Nigeria Next."
Soon we'll probably start hearing urgent calls for "democratization," "protecting democratic values," and "supporting civil society".
Congratulations, we have a new law.
The President have signed the NIMC Act 2026 into law.
Your National Identification Number (NIN) will now serve as a stronger gateway to critical services, including
1. Passports
2. Voter registration
3. Bank accounts
4. Land transactions
5. Telecommunications
6. Pensions
7. Insurance
8. Tax payments
8. Consumer credit and government services.
One person. One identity. One number.
The BENEFITS
1. In the past, you needed a different ID for everything, one for passports, one for driving, another for banking (BVN), and another for your SIM card.
The NIMC Act forces all these different government agencies to link their systems together. This means your NIN becomes the master key, reducing the stress of carrying multiple IDs and filling out endless forms.
2. With the 2026 update, the law introduces much stricter cybersecurity and data privacy rules. It ensures that when you give your data to NIMC, it is locked down securely using advanced encryption and digital signatures. Private companies or rogue agents cannot easily access or abuse your personal information.
3. Because the database uses your unique biometrics (fingerprints and face scans), it is nearly impossible for a criminal to go to a bank, look like you, use your name, and steal your money or properties. The new law also introduces heavy penalties for identity theft, impersonation, and fraudulent registrations.
Ignorance of the law is no excuse

Mr President signs the NIMC Act 2026 into law. It means the NIMC is not longer just an ID-card agency, it is now designated the Root Certification Authority for Nigeria's digital ecosystem.
The FG is positioning the NIN as the backbone of Nigeria's Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI), similar to how some countries use a single trusted identity system to access banking, government, healthcare, and other services online.
Viewed alongside the tax reform laws, the NIMC Act creates a critical enabling layer for digital governance. While the tax laws modernize how taxes are assessed, collected, and administered, the NIMC Act strengthens how individuals and businesses are identified and authenticated.
One thing that stands PBAT out is his political will to make difficult decisions that many before him either postponed or avoided.
BREAKING: Federal Government’s borrowing jumps 75.6%.

~ Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) data says
I have today signed the NIMC Act 2026 into law.
For nearly twenty years, Nigeria’s identity system operated under a law written for a different era. That era is over.
This new Act gives our nation a modern, secure and digital identity framework fit for the Nigeria we are building, a Nigeria on the path to becoming a one-trillion-dollar economy.
“And what is my fault in Kebbi ?
I stood up here in the Senate to tell Nigerians to assist us that bandits are killing us.
And suddenly, the governor thought, I was fighting him.
I have never fought to the governor.
I have nothing against him.
But my people that sent me here asked me to cry, and I cried.
And they appreciate it. 3 years since Tinubu’s government, 3 years.
2023, 2024, and 2025.
The budget has not been implemented.
He has never implement a budget.
How does a country run without a budget?
The selective financing of project, and we have borrowed and borrowed and borrowed.
Where is the money we are borrowing?
All the revenue generating agency in this country told us they have exceeded their target.
Where is the money going?”
