The best way to judge a bootcamp isn’t by what we say.
It’s by what our students say after going through it.
Every testimonial is proof that the right environment, mentorship, and practical learning can completely change how you build.
Now imagine where you could be just a few weeks from now.
Only 13 days until Ship & Found begins.
Give a task a month and it takes a month. Give the same task a week and it takes a week, often with no loss in quality.
Parkinson's Law: work expands to fill the time available for its completion.
A generous deadline does not produce better work. It produces more hesitation, more second-guessing, more polishing of things that were already fine. The tight deadline forces clarity about what actually matters and sheds the rest.
Great advice! Anyone can give you.
I began my career in branding and later expanded my expertise to include:
- Product (UI/UX) design
- Website development using Framer
On the side, I’ve engaged in brand deals, founded two startups, and invested in small businesses.
Imagine if I hadn’t taken these paths, I’m certain I would be stuck somewhere. Don’t rely solely on one path or skill set.
I’m still exploring more options, but here’s some advice: focus on your career and avoid getting involved in drama or stirring up conflicts. Your success will come as long as you continue to learn and work hard.
@Joe_brendan_ As a designer, I think it pushes us to zoom out more, not justt “what does the screen do?” but “what does this change inside the system”
I am curious to read read your take on how designers and engineers should start thinking about this…
One UI design tip
Make your input fields and buttons have the same height for instance, If your input field has a 48px height, make your primary button same height
Task 02:
My tutor @StephanieInii challenged us to move away from tech layouts and lean into a softer, premium aesthetic. Replicating this flyer helped me see how small details like lighting and soft shadows completely change how a brand feels.
Decided to go back to @devanddesignhq to add Graphic and Brand Design to my UI/UX toolkit.
I’ll be learning directly from @StephanieInii
I want to know how branding looks and speaks just as much as design does.
I remember when it was cringe for designers here to post their work
Some people were subtly castigating those creating content with their work.
Some people were not posting, they were busy being umpire and judge or the designs people were posting. For Free.
I even remember @Tegadesigns telling me how it sometimes get to her when people pile on her. I thank God she is a stubborn person because I told her, POST YOUR WORK. The critics can go to hell. Post your work. Block them if necessary and move on
You people think this is SS3 where everything is about being right and satisfying your ego
This is real life. Lekki Rent is 5 million. Maitaima rent is 15 million a year. To Japa is nothing below 35 million. Plus some people have siblings and parents to handle.
I always asked my mentees one question anytime they are scared of posting.
I ask them "the apps you use everyday in your life, are they extra special in terms of UI?"
They say no. Then I tell them, focus on motion. Your hand go good as the motion dey flow. You don't have to be special. Special is a lie. Nobody is . Just fxxxkn work and put yourself out more than others
It's funny to see that some of the backlashers have seen that backlashing does not get you gigs or opportunities. It only gets you recognition as a backlasher. That's all.
So now, some of them have started posting and doing the same content they bashed people for.
Capitalism is NOT Your mate and will never be
