@shumbro Не уверен как в Кыргызстане, в Таджикистане есть даже поговорка о том, что новое поколение должно жить хотя бы чуть лучше прежнего. В целом народы и культура очень похожи и сильно интегрированы друг в друга... поэтому думаю, потеря такого понимания это веение лишь последних лет.

@sylvielasserre (No idea why your post appeared on my twitter, but) this is not Babushka. Locals never use this russian word, even if speak russian. In Tajik we would say moma (grandma), or (even) ocha/aya (mother), may vary based on region, but never babushka. It is the same in Uzbekistan.
