Social media has become far too comfortable turning anyone, specially newcomers, into easy targets for ridicule. People forget that behind every viral clip is a real human being with emotions, self doubt, and vulnerabilities.
Not every mistake deserves a public trial. Not every slip-l up should become "content" for cheap laughs and engagement.
This toxic culture of humiliation can have serious consequences. It can crush confidence, damage mental health, and leave scars that last far beyond a trending hashtag. For someone just starting their career, such abuse can be deeply discouraging and even career-altering.
Correct people if needed. Criticize constructively if necessary. But cruelty disguised as humor is still cruelty.
We need to do better.
