There are a small number of people who use LLMs to understand bugs better, go deeper into the subject matter, validate if the LLM provided solution makes sense, and generally improve their knowledge and expertise, but at an accelerated clip.

And many others who do none of this.

I think consuming varied content is important in the sense that it introduces you to different ideas and disciplines that you may not have been previously aware of.

Then the priority should shift to harmonizing between related domains and coming up with original, useful content

you consume content about people doing the thing instead of doing the thing. their interviews, their processes, their behind the scenes - feels adjacent enough to the actual work that it satisfies the urge temporarily. then you close the video and you’re still exactly where you were, just more informed about how other people moved while you stayed still.

@justinskycak @lelouchdaily Like two people can study the exact same thing from the ground-up, but the results (i.e. level of genuine comprehension) will differ due to the difference in their inherent intelligence (vague I know, but I think you know what I mean)

Learning with the intention to produce creates a shift in your mindset; now you have to more properly understand the topic, be able to look at it from different angles, and analyze its relation to other fields

You want to acquire a taste, develop a craving for producing as opposed to just consuming.

Producing is where the growth happens; consuming is only helpful insofar as it enables you to produce.

You think the reason why you aren't locked in, making fast progress towards your goals, is because you lack the mental toughness to push yourself that hard. But you're wrong. That's not your problem.

The reason why the ball isn't rolling fast is that you refuse to begin getting the ball rolling slowly. Your problem is that you think the ball has to go from 0 to 100mph today, because if you can't get it to 100mph today, then you'll never be moving fast enough to achieve your goals. Which is completely wrong.

You can get to 100mph by compounding smaller pushes over a much longer timescale. Go from 0 to 1mph today, maintain it at 1mph for a few days, then push it to 2mph the next day, and so on. You can get to 100mph that way.

For those who don’t know, al-Udeid air base in Qatar is the largest US military installation in the middle east. It was used in the following wars/conflicts

- Afghanistan
- Iraq
- Syria
- Yemen

It is also used for other operations across the region.

Imagine we told the Muslims of the past that the cursed nation have occupied Bayt al-Maqdis & are exterminating & violating Muslims day & night, yet “Muslims” are practicing military exercises with these same occupiers. I don’t think they would be able to fathom this.

We will have to explain to the future generations that whilst their brothers & sisters burned, those who had power & authority not only prevented Muslims from helping them, but openly sided with the enemies. Not to mention “scholars” & “students” who argued for & defended them.
