I have learned silence from the talkative, toleration from the intolerant, and kindness from the unkind; yet, strange, I am ungrateful to those teachers. — Khalil Gibran
May Allah protect us from every hidden enemy, harmful intention, envy, and evil, and grant us peace, safety, and victory over every injustice. Ameen. 🤲
اللهم اكفنيهم بما شئت، واحفظني من شرهم، وردّ عني كيدهم ومكرهم.
“O Allah, suffice me against them as You will, protect me from their evil, and turn away from me their plots and schemes.”
The deepest betrayal is when you raise someone like your own, stand by them, open doors for them, and help build the very platform they stand on only for them to turn around and use that same platform against you. 💔
Mallam @elrufai has done so much for Uba.
Nobody is necessarily wrong, sometimes, we simply see things from different perspectives. It is okay for people to hold different positions and views. What matters is that we respect one another and remain open to understanding a perspective different from our own.
As Muslims, we believe Allah alone gives and takes power as He wills. He elevates whom He wills, through whom He wills.
So where exactly is the betrayal? Political support is only a means; destiny belongs to Allah not Kwankwaso. 🤲🏾
The person you see in this picture is the current Governor of Kano State, Abba Kabir Yusuf, before Kwankwaso supported him and played a major role in his emergence as Governor in 2023.
Today, however, the same Kwankwaso who stood by him and helped pave the way for his political rise has been abandoned. Instead of remaining loyal to the man who supported him, Abba has turned his back on Kwankwaso and aligned himself with those who have always opposed the interests of Kano State.
What a painful betrayal! 💔

Sometimes, the more you see, the less you understand. This interview answered some questions but opened many more. Critical scrutiny should never be mistaken for hostility.
There are too many gaps in the account he gave & far too many follow-up questions should have been asked. The Fattoush ice cream date, in particular, warranted much deeper scrutiny.
Another twist is, we never had the guts, as undergrads, to give our lecturers/project supervisors AP or rendezvous points, let alone direct them to get into our car bcoz it was more convenient for us.
The interviewers seemed more interested in sympathising with him than scrutinising his claims. It felt like they were on a mission to exonerate him, coz I didn’t understand that long closing prayer from one of the interviewers.
The fact that we are meeting Alhaji to beg him to drive down petrol prices is exactly why we urgently need more players in the industry.
If other billionaires cannot afford to build refineries that will challenge Alhaji for now, we must urgently allow other petrol marketers to import fuel into the country.
I am tired of buying petrol at ₦1,300 per litre.
This is no longer funny.
To start with, Rarara is not an illiterate, for someone that is much endowed in Islamic education isn’t an illiterate. Literacy is the ability to acquire, understand, and apply knowledge. Speaking English isn’t the be-all and end-all of literacy, like Hausa language, English is just a glorified medium of communication.
In this tug-of-political-war, Davido is only clever by half, his knee-jerk reaction to dismiss Rarara as an illiterate says more about him that it says about Rarara, someone with this ugly and archaic thought-process isn’t qualified to pick who qualifies as an illiterate or educated person.
The background with which Rarara had his certificate, historically, created foundations of what is today called “Western education”. It was preserved, developed, and transmitted through the Islamic civilization during Europe’s Dark Ages. From algebra and astronomy to medicine and libraries, Muslim scholars played a pivotal role in advancing human knowledge. So, Rarara is not an illiterate .
This past Saturday, we had the privilege of being part of the Izibani 3P Maiden Empowerment Programme youth development session at Phendukani Full Service High School in Newcastle, KwaZulu-Natal.
