I would love to use my quarantine time to read a hundred books or write something beautiful, but by the time I finish working for the day I’m so mentally exhausted that all my brain wants to do is rest.
Someone tell me I’m not useless.

Our second “Meet the Team” feature is our Communications Coordinator Alley Biniarz. Alley joined @CityClimateAct because she wanted to learn how to connect with political leaders on climate issues and to make these conversations more accessible for the public.
Happy new year! To give you a leg up on your writing resolutions, we've opened submissions for our eighth issue. Let us be your first submission of 2020! 🎉 https://t.co/FHkG1R7sRW
This winter season, as difficult as it may be, find gratitude, be thankful for the small things, give to those in need, hold on to those close to you. Write and read to your heart's content. Practice self care. Be safe lovelies, we care about each and every one of you ❤️

Earth Alliance, which is co-chaired by actor and environmentalist Leonardo DiCaprio, has formed an emergency Amazon Forest Fund with $5 million to help local organizations and indigenous communities protect the rainforest from the ravaging fires. https://t.co/KHr3Ga2QoY
At every meeting for the past few weeks I've been talking about 2021 and it reminds me how sometimes, in publishing, it feels as though we're skipping through time like expertly skimmed stones.
The attacks on the Amazon are an international tragedy.
What can we do?
1. Support the courageous resistance of the indigenous peoples of the Amazon.
2. Make clear to the agribusiness & financiers involved in the destruction that we won’t buy their products.
The Amazon produces more than 20% of the world’s oxygen and is home to more than half of the world’s species of plants, animals and insects. It has been burning for 3 weeks and we have just found out about it! The lungs of the Earth are on fire 🙏 #AmazonFires#AmazonRainforest
