Aren't you old enough (and me) to remember the hype surrounding Kournikova during her hey days? Even Martina Hingis hinted many times she was jealous of the attention (and money) that Anna was receiving during those times.

It's the same with Alex Eala, and time will tell if this hype is ever lasting. So far she's won a 500 so she definitely has merit to her hype. But in the long term, she definitely needs to back it up with real slam results.

I'm pretty neutral on this, because a player like Kournikova and Eala comes and goes. So she definitely has a lot of pressure on her shoulders to deliver.
