Our staff member went to ride Seth today as she will be riding him for a bit when he comes back to us from “school” before he starts working with our members. Seth was rehomed to us through the @BritishHorse and @RSPCA_official scheme. He’s doing really well - go Seth!

We are going to be running a @BritishHorse Ridesafe assessment on Tuesday 14th April (daytime). Training will be on Sunday 12th April. https://t.co/8WzEX3EZoa The assessment costs £55 and training costs £35 (payable to ARC) which includes horse hire if you need it.

We cancelled lessons today as was so windy early on it’s not safe for our staff catching the horses in or our riders. So lucky Laura gets Sally’s undivided attention for 3 hours of coaching practice as she has her Stage 3 coach coming up. #coachtraining #horses #nostirrups

Sally and Ali have been persuaded to leave the shed to deliver a coach information day in March. Should be a great info day for local coaches and proprietors. You don’t have to be an APC or approved centre proprietor - it’s open to all and best thing is it’s free!

How best to prepare our staff for the anatomy section of their @BritishHorse Stage 4 care? Call in the big guns! Or in our case our amazing farrier to do a leg dissection for them! Nothing like seeing all the anatomy in the flesh to understand it!

Two of our staff did a mental health First Aid course a few weeks ago. All our full time staff are First Aid at Work qualified but mental health first aid is equally important - particularly in sport. #MentalHealthAwareness #MentalHealthMatters

Hamish the Clydesdale was looking very pleased with himself this morning. He’s managed to amuse his humans by pulling the foam off the girder (again). There’s nothing like the sight of a 17hh Clydesdale waving a 6ft bit of foam about in his mouth in morning to make you laugh😂

We run adult @BritishHorse Challenge awards on a Saturday morning at 8.15am. This week they will be covering mucking out 😀 The Challenge awards are a brilliant way to further your knowledge but also to ensure good horse welfare. #challengeyourself
