I don't think serinus ever lost respect for luke, either. it partially broke his heart to step away and reject the label of Jedi but serinus just couldn't stand the pain of having witnessed everything and wanted to isolate to heal

he's seated in a dark cantina corner fussing with the thing, the sliver plated weapon almost an exclamation against his dark clothing.

his expression, if one can see, is frustrated. he's ready to throw the thing across the building and get another.
