We will be singing at the Metropole Theatre on Wednesday 9th November in a concert in aid of the Hermon Trust Cemetery. This is a old Welsh Cemetery in Nantyglo that became overgrown over the years and is now maintained and looked after by the trust.
We have taken the decision to cancel our planned concert at the Llanhilleth Stute in September, to concentrate on new repertoire for the tour to Chichester in October, where we will be singing with Solent Male Voice Choir, and the Principality Stadium WRU gig in November.
Abertillery Orpheus Male Choir have been invited to join 3 other choirs in providing on-field entertainment and to sing the National Anthems when Wales play New Zealand on 5 Nov 2022 at the Principality Stadium.
After Usk Choral Festival we move on to our 'Bundred Hundred' Concert at the Met Theatre, Abertillery on 23 July 2022. The concert celebrates Tom Bundred, the choir's first conductor and the founder of the Ladies choir.
Other choirs in our Usk Concert grouping at 3.30pm pm are 'Soul'd as Seen' and 'Alive and Kicking'. The 5.30 pm Concert features 'Torfaen Male Choir', 'Cantorion Sanctaidd' and 'Sound Women'
