@gabrypix Whether it’s a writing mistake or not is a separate argument that I’m not trying to make. You don’t have to like it, but that doesn’t mean it isnt real
@gabrypix@cooky_tklove@mikasababymama_ You’ve shown me examples of misinterpretations except for the specific one I asked for. And no, you haven’t debunked anything I mentioned from the anime. All you’ve done is deny that the person we see with Mikasa is very clearly Jean
@gabrypix@cooky_tklove@mikasababymama_ Because now you’re just getting into semantics. I don’t know why isayama didn’t make it more clear in the audiobook, but he made it pretty clear in the manga and anime
@gabrypix@cooky_tklove@mikasababymama_ As you said though, the heights are staggered. Also, reaching the shoulder when your 5’9 makes perfect sense in this scenario 😂
@gabrypix@cooky_tklove@mikasababymama_ Because maybe in a fandom like aot that loves looking at subcontext and putting things together without it being explicitly said, isayama figured we could take one good look at the man and figure that it’s Jean? Or does it not apply when it’s for a ship people don’t like?
@gabrypix@cooky_tklove@mikasababymama_ Also this one feels a bit nitpicky. Jean is directly referenced to be there, but just because it doesn’t directly state that he’s there with Mikasa it rules out that possibility?
@gabrypix@cooky_tklove@mikasababymama_ Again, if someone can come out and correct THOSE lines, someone should’ve done it with the Jean and Mikasa line by now
@gabrypix@cooky_tklove@mikasababymama_ Then if you look at the anime itself, the guy is significantly taller than Mikasa, which is similar to how tall Jean would be
@gabrypix@cooky_tklove@mikasababymama_ Also was the Jean and Mikasa line confirmed to be a mistranslation? Because I know there were some other things the audio got wrong but I haven’t seen anyone come out to debunk that line either
