Delhi Police ACP Vivek Bhagat says, "Yesterday, I was on duty in sector one zone one which includes the main Jantar Mantar area. I was on duty during the day and I had evening shift as well, so during the evening shift, I was going to report from Regal building which is Connaught Place, via Sansad Marg, at the red light of Tolstoy and Sansad Marg. I had a staff of five or six who were walking ahead and with me was an ACP probationer Rohit and my operator Navneet. So as we were walking ahead, we realized that water bottles were being thrown at the staff in front and hooting and anti-social slogans were being raised against the police. So as soon as our police staff moved back and forth a little there, some of them moved forward to save their lives and one of them was overpowered by the crowd. Blood was coming out of his head. His entire face was covered in blood, so I tried to intervene to rescue him from there. We even brought him a meter or two forward, but the crowd was so huge and violent. They even overpowered me. The crowd was so violent. Police officers were specifically targeted, isolating them and attacking them..."

Hanuman Mandir in CP also became a target during the Cockroach protest that turned violent.

The protesters were pulling stones out of their bags and pelting them, yet Rana Ayyub was busy spinning a narrative against the temple.

She seems to be a level headed sensible girl who came from Haryana to join the protest but was pretty disillusioned looking at the scenario where Hindu deities, Hindus, RSS and BJP were being targeted by the leftist minds, getting rowdy and abusive. She tried to reason with a few but they would start heckling her and not debate or reason with her.

What I Witnessed at 2 AM Will Surprise You

At 2 AM, after the Parliament March, I walked through Jantar Mantar to understand the condition of the protesters who claimed they were on an indefinite fast.
What I witnessed bore little resemblance to a student movement.

The site was consumed by chaos. Obscene remarks were being made against women news anchors. Intoxicated youths claimed they were fighting for students while openly using abusive language. The familiar faces of AISA and the CJP leadership were nowhere to be seen on the stage. Instead, conversations revolved around anti-India rhetoric and bringing down democratic institutions.

When something goes horribly wrong under their dept, the minister in charge should step down, plain and simple.

It doesn't matter if they didn't personally cause the disaster or even know every detail of what was happening behind the scenes. Being in charge means taking credit when things go well, but it also means taking the fall when things fall apart. That is what true leadership is about.

Since politics is all about strategic morality than real morality, I'll talk about strategy only. Stepping down isn't a sign of weakness; it’s actually a smart, strong political move. When a minister stays put after a major disaster, the story becomes all about them trying to save their own job, and the controversy just drags on endlessly. A quick resignation clears the air. It acts like a fresh start, allowing the govt to bring in new leadership, fix the problem, and show the public that they actually care about high standards. It builds way more respect with voters than digging in your heels ever will.

When someone stays in office purely so the administration doesn't "look weak," or so the opposition doesn't see a resignation as a win, it tells the public that party pride matters more than accountability. Voters can easily tell the difference between standing firm on principle and being too stubborn to own up to a failure.

They should be put in jail for endangering lives and safety of their children. Such laws already exist in western countries, though I don't know if it would cover a protest but it should, that's why you ask for police permission for it; there is a risk it may not remain peaceful!

Woke are the worst kind of parents. They don't think twice about putting their children at risk if it serves their ideological purpose.

Okay, agreed, you want to do a peaceful protest, and you believe it is a peaceful protest. But what if rogue elements from the protest attack the police, and they resort to a lathicharge and tear gas to restore order, triggering a stampede? Who will be responsible for the children then?

It will be your responsibility, a direct result of your poor parenting and failure to assess the risk of what you are doing, or worse, knowing the risk and ignoring it anyway. You will be responsible, but since you guys have no insight, I know you will surely blame the state.

Nashik police arrests 9 people for chasing tourists for 20 kms in a car and assaulting them.

As per the complaint filed by the 44-year-old woman, she, her husband, son, daughter, a brother-in-law and two nephews were visiting waterfalls near the dam on Sunday when two youths whistled at her and started eve-teasing her.

“When we were heading to change clothes, two young men standing on a bridge passed a comment on me.

Me and my husband confronted them. They walked away, realizing they were in the wrong, and the matter seemed settled.

However, shortly after, a group of 8–10 young men returned and started hurling abuse asking how we dared speak to "people from their village" that way.

A scuffle broke out, and they even tried to block our path.
