Points 1, 2 & 3 — FACT CHECKS

Look at our website, Jhoot Ki Goonj. Every statement made by Rahul Gandhi across these four events has been countered with facts and backed by 134 sources.

Rahul Gandhi claimed that women above the age of 23 cannot write entrance exams.

Do you seriously expect us to sit back and accept such a blatantly false claim?

Point 4 — EMPLOYMENT

If Rahul Gandhi’s employment figures are correct, show the official government data behind them.

According to government figures cited by the Labour Ministry, 17 crore jobs were generated between 2014 and 2024, compared with 2.9 crore during the previous decade.

And on gig workers:

Rahul claimed that 700 out of every 1,000 students (70%) would become gig workers.

NITI Aayog estimated 77 lakh gig workers in 2020–21, around 1.5% of the workforce, and projected this to reach about 4.1% by 2029–30—not 70%.

Point 5 — PAPER LEAKS

If our figures are wrong, show the complete record: cases, investigations, arrests, convictions and punishments.

Also, the claim that nothing was done is misleading.

The government introduced the Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act with strict penalties, including imprisonment and heavy fines.

There have also been convictions in examination-paper leakage cases, while investigations into recent cases remain ongoing.

Point 6 — NEET & STUDENTS’ FUTURE

Want to debate NEET, coaching and students’ concerns? Fine.

Bring the data from NTA, the Ministry of Education and official government sources.

The ₹1.32 lakh crore figure Rahul Gandhi quotes is an estimated size of India’s coaching industry by 2028, not its current value.

And medical education has expanded significantly:

• Medical colleges: 387 → 846
• MBBS seats: 51,348 → 1,39,864
• PG medical seats: 31,185 → 86,360

Medical colleges have more than doubled, while MBBS seats have nearly tripled.

The data simply doesn’t support the narrative that opportunities are disappearing.

Point 7 — GOVERNMENT JOBS

If you want to discuss government employment, then provide year-wise figures for vacancies, recruitment, appointments and pending posts.

Meanwhile, the Rozgar Mela has crossed 12 lakh recruitment letters across 18 editions, with another 51,000+ distributed at the 19th event.

On PSUs, profit-making CPSEs increased from 157 in FY15 to 227 in FY25, while loss-making CPSEs declined from 77 to 63.

Point 8 — MSMEs & EMPLOYMENT

Let’s talk data.

MSME bank lending increased from ₹8.5 lakh crore in FY2014 to ₹27.3 lakh crore in FY2024—a 220% increase.

MUDRA has sanctioned 57.79 crore loans worth ₹40.07 lakh crore, including 12.15 crore loans worth ₹12 lakh crore to first-time entrepreneurs.

Different studies produce different estimates of AI’s impact on employment.

So if you’re calling our figure wrong, show the original report and methodology behind your preferred figure.

Why does Rahul Gandhi consistently choose the most negative projections and then blackpill India’s youth?

Nomura’s analysis found approximately 1.31 lakh jobs created against 61,000 displaced across Asia, with India recording a net-positive impact.

AI is also creating opportunities in data annotation, linguistics, AI-enabled IT services, cloud, cybersecurity and specialised technical roles.

Point 10 — WOMEN’S SAFETY

The same standard should apply here too.

If you’re challenging our figures, provide the NCRB/government data, definitions and methodology.

Rahul Gandhi claimed that 6 out of every 100 women are raped.

NCRB’s 2024 data puts the rape crime rate at approximately 4.3 cases per lakh women—not 6 women per 100.

That is a massive difference.

🚨 FACT CHECK: RAHUL GANDHI’S CLAIM IS FALSE ❌

At a rally in Pune on August 22, 2026, Rahul Gandhi claimed:

“Boys can take examinations multiple times after the age limit, but the marriage age is 23 for women”.

Reality: FALSE ❌

There is no legal marriage age of 23 for women in India.

Under the law in force before the Modi government, the minimum legal marriageable age was 18 for women and 21 for men. This distinction was retained under the Prohibition of Child Marriage Act, 2006, enacted during the UPA era.

So, the Congress-led UPA government’s legal framework itself maintained the 18-for-women vs 21-for-men distinction.

The Modi government later moved to remove this disparity.

The Prohibition of Child Marriage (Amendment) Bill, 2021 proposed increasing the minimum marriage age for women from 18 to 21, bringing it at par with men.

So Rahul Gandhi’s claim is misleading on two counts:

❌ 23 is NOT the legal marriage age for women.
❌ The UPA-era framework retained the 18 vs 21 gender distinction.

Meanwhile, the Modi government proposed making the minimum legal marriage age 21 for both men and women.
