India enters the big 5 in manufacturing toppling South Korea. At current growth rates, even considering rupee depreciation, India will displace Japan to become the world's third largest manufacturer (> $1 trillion) by 2029.

Also,

1960: $3 billion -> 2015: $328 billion
2015: $328 billion -> 2025: $781 billion

So India has added as much in manufacturing in the last 10 years as it added in the last 70+ years.

जनता द्वारा चुने गए प्रधानमंत्री के कार्यकाल के मामले में 10 जून को प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी जवाहरलाल नेहरू का रेकॉर्ड तोड़ देंगे.

लेकिन मोदी और पंडित नेहरू जी की तुलना नहीं हो सकती.

नेहरू जी ठहरे खानदानी आदमी. परिवार मुगलों और ब्रिटिश दरबार में उच्च पदों पर रहा. पिता मोतीलाल देश के सबसे महंगे वकील. नेहरू जी खुद लंदन में रहकर पढ़े.

और कहां मोदी जी. वडनगर जैसे कस्बे का तेली बिरादरी का साधारण परिवार का आदमी. देश के करोड़ों लोगों की तरह एक और आम आदमी.

नेहरू जी अंग्रेजों से भी अच्छी इंग्लिश बोलते थे. गुजराती स्कूल में पढ़े मोदी खींचखांच कर काम चला लेते हैं. टेली प्रॉम्पटर की मदद लेनी पड़ती है.

लोकतंत्र और संविधान का चमत्कार है कि मोदी प्रधानमंत्री बन गए. वरना उनको पूछता कौन? मोदी बाबा साहब के प्रति इतने एहसानमंद यूं ही नहीं हैं.

बाबा साहब थे तो मोदी हैं.

मोदी की लोककल्याण की दृष्टि, कार्यों में शुचिता और प्रामाणिकता तथा राष्ट्र गौरव को फिर से हासिल करने की ललक ने उनको प्रधानमंत्री के रूप में सबसे लंबा कार्यकाल दिया. जनता का असीम प्यार उनको मिला है. किसी गरीब से पूछिए. महिलाओं से पूछिए.

वरना उनका अपना बैकग्राउंड बहुत साधारण है.

समाज किसी भी व्यवसाय का विकल्प खड़ा कर सकता है, लेकिन गुरु की साख टूट जाए तो पूरी पीढ़ी कीमत चुकाती है। कुछ यूट्यूब शिक्षक ज्ञान नहीं, कुंठा और राजनीति बेच रहे हैं। ऐसे लोग शिक्षा नहीं, शिक्षा की आत्मा को नुकसान पहुंचा रहे हैं।

I agree. I definitely salute the Indian govt for keeping oil price hikes lower than most countries. In the US, though it is the world's largest oil producer, the price has went up as much as 100% in some states.

India being the world's second biggest importer of oil has held off the price hikes for this long hoping the issues will end. And still has increased prices much lower than what all other importing countries have. Need to be appreciated.
