Delhi government bought cycles at ₹6,957 each. Saurabh Bharadwaj brought a similar retail cycle bought for ₹4,200 with bill and placed both side by side.

Same look, different quality. The retail cycle had branded tyres, stronger rims and aluminium brakes. The government cycle had local tyres, lighter rims and plastic brakes.

CYCLE MECHANIC 😳: The government cycle has plastic brake levers, local tyres, lighter rims and weaker crank. These cycles come to my shop daily because something keeps getting loose.

REPORTER: The minister says the purchase was done through GeM and the lowest bidder got it. How is this corruption?

SAURABH 🔥: GeM does not make corruption impossible. Government writes the specifications and conditions. If the tender asks for one product and girls receive cheap junk with a sticker, hiding behind GeM will not work.
