Most Indians are taught the freedom struggle as Congress, Gandhi and the transfer of power.
A new Prime Video series, 'The Revolutionaries', puts the other half on screen. It follows the men and women who tried to push the British out by force. 🧵
Shocking details from the Azamgarh college conversion case
What I gathered after talking to locals: a girl named Anju Gupta took admission in Shibli college of Azamgarh in BSc Honors course 3 years ago
But her classmate influenced her to read kalma and convert, and then introduced him to a man from her community
The girl left her house and started living with him
Two days ago, she was found roaming in streets in unstable mental condition saying - please provide a room for namaz
Locals talked to her and then called police. A day later, her family was reached and they came to take her back, saying they don’t want to file complaint against anyone
But we have asked for a deeper investigation
Colleges, offices, gyms - fast becoming centres of Dawah (conversion) operations
Since the man is asking a genuine question. Let me explain as many other folks might be wondering why are we celebrating start of chip packaging and testing in India. #semiconductors
PS: I’m an architect in semiconductor industry for over 2 decades 1/n

Dearest Shehzad, here is wishing you all the best as you embark on your new journey in "Reality Television entertainment!".
May you have all the "Rise" & may you never "Fall!".
You genuinely were the best Spokesperson that I came across, much much better than me & may you RISE, RISE, RISE and do much better than me on Reality TV. 😆 (that's not difficult!) 😆
Love you always and ZURU and I will always root for you!

India has never lacked talent. What was often missing were opportunities and pathways to realise big dreams.
In her insightful piece, @Pvsindhu1 reflects on how the last 12 years have changed this, enabling a new generation of Indians not just to dream big, but to turn those dreams into reality.
A must-read.
In 2005, a female entrepreneur from Thailand visited Pune to seek the blessings of Shrimant Dagdusheth Halwai Ganpati. Subsequently, she began traveling from Thailand to Pune every month for darshan. She harbored a wish to have a Dagdusheth Ganpati temple built in Thailand as well.
Although the Trust did not grant permission initially, they eventually allowed the construction after witnessing her immense devotion. A 700-kilogram idol of Lord Ganesha was shipped to Thailand, and a temple was constructed as an exact replica of the one in Pune. This year, the first-ever Shri Ganpati festival is being celebrated there. Ganpati Bappa Morya!
I sit on the floor (by choice) when I meet religious saints. They always offer me a chair but I decline. I did not realize I am very low-agency.
I go there to let go of egoic attachment. The Guru is not just a person, they represent Sanatana Dharma itself.
Let me narrate something that moved me. Her Holiness Mata Amritanandamayi, when she comes to the stage to speak, does a namaskaram to the audience, and the same audience treats her as the embodiment of God. Why is she bowing to her devotees?
That is the subtlety of Sanatana Dharma. God is the act of devotion, Bhakti.
If the doctor learns some humility, he may come to appreciate her and the wisdom of Dharma she embodies.
As the Zen master said, as long as his cup is full, nothing will enter him.
Dear @theliverdoc, I think you have made a rather large assumption about a person you know nothing about, based on a clip.
You have no idea what I stand for, what I believe in, or the context of that conversation.
And there is nothing wrong with being seated on the floor. I was perfectly comfortable there and it was out of my own choice.
Sometimes respect has less to do with where someone is seated and more to do with how we choose to speak about people we don’t know.
Perhaps a little more context, and a little less assumption, would serve us all well.
Wishing you a low Resting Entropy
One can see it such an ugly & filthy soul you are. Such a disgrace to the country. Should be thrown out from here & send you where you exactly belong.
After MEA asked Odisha to send 1,500 packets of Koraput Coffee for BRICS summit, TDCCOL delivered the entire consignment to Delhi by air within just 36 hours.
The 100% Arabica Tiger Bright coffee, grown in Koraput’s forested hills, is being served to domestic and international media delegates at the summit.
A proud moment for Odisha!
My morning started with a disturbing conversation with father of a Class 10 schoolgirl
She had just revealed that for the past one week, a boy she met during online gaming and shared her number with, had been threatening her with acid attack over the phone if she didn't meet him
Below is a picture of the boy with an illegal weapon that he had texted the girl to threaten her
The father was highly stressed. He said he had traced the boy's family and asked his parents to control their son, but the latter had simply denied that he ever did such a thing
The girl is Hindu while the boy is Muslim - adding to the tension
We immediately took up the matter with @BhaiPreetSingh. A police complaint was filed, police station was contacted, public pressure was mobilised
Result - half an hour ago, the boy was detained by police and put in jail
Now not only the girl's parents but even we can be at peace now
It takes a lot of time and resources to do impactful work such as this. If it matters to you, support us.
CM Suvendu Adhikari:
“The tears of Chinmoy Prabhu have shaken the hearts of Sanatanis across the world. Had Dr. Syama Prasad Mukherjee and Swami Pranavananda not stood firm for Bharat and Hindu society, our fate could have been very different.”
Never felt prouder as an Indian. President Putin. President Xi. And our Magnificent Prime Minister Narendra Modi together in Mother India. International diplomacy like never before. Take a Bow. Modi Ji
