It seems a common experience in the lives of people with high agency is that they, at some point, metaphorically, lean against a wall and discover that there is a hidden door. I’m glad we are back to building great consumer products.

We spent the last few years debating model benchmarks. They will soon disappear or mean less. We are back to asking the age old, hard questions:

Can we build something customers want?
Can we create an experience they want to come back?
Can we deliver real ROI for the business?

Open models will make intelligence abundant. But, product judgment, distribution, trust, taste, and execution will still be rare & hard. Let's get back to working on the hard things now
