I need white people to understand this about student loan debt. Understand the reasoning why black people have lowest wealth in America. Because of practices like slavery, redlining, predatory land contracts, mass incarceration, war on drugs, three strikes law.

Most of black people with student loans debt are the first to be able to go to college in their family. They wanted to change the dynamic of living a poor life due to American practices. Now with student loan debt, they can’t buy homes, get business loans etc. Again depriving their generation of creating wealth.

To say we should be able to pay loans like you when the jobs you receive have way higher salaries and your family didn’t experience these travesties, it’s not fair. I’m ok with you getting a tax write off of some sort because education should be free anyway. But don’t go against this plan in the name of social justice! Cancel the debt and free us of the chains you put on us. #studentloans #SupremeCourtDecision
