Key take-home point that I try to impart to all who will listen:

#ICURehab and #EarlyMobility can't be protocolized in adult or #PedsICU. It's NOT walking every intubated patient. It's not black or white.

But we can work with a shared mental model of all the possibilities and create a workflow that ensures we are doing the most possible for #EveryPatientEveryDay grounded in their individual needs.

In Portuguese, the term "early" in early mobilization was translated as "precocious" and gives us the mistaken idea of "too early", so here is my statement. It is never too early to deliver what each patient needs according to their own clinical status. #ICURehab #PedsICU
