Professor Omolaye Alaba-Ajileye served with my integrity & intellect on the High Court of Kogi State, taking on some of the most difficult cases in the system & retaining balance while he did so. As reprisal for his judicial courage, he was denied the preferments that were his due.

Since retirement from the Bench in 2023, he has taught at the National Open University of Nigeria as a Professor. His expertise is in the arcane field of electronic evidence.

Tomorrow, at the Conference Centre of @noununiversity in Abuja, Prof Omolaye Alaba-Ajileye will be launching his path-breaking books on Electronic Evidence in #Nigeria.

Originally designated for the development of a public health facility for the Wuye District of #Nigeria's Federal Capital, Abuja, Plot 546, Cadastral Zone B03, Wuye District, Abuja, comprising 3.171 hectares of prime land, is located directly opposite the Wuye Ultra-Modern Market & adjacent to the Wuye @PoliceNG Station.

In March 2026, #GreedyGlutton, @GovWike, took it into private hands. Private developer, Full Moon Estate Developers Ltd, is handling the project of turning the place into private estate. The approval, granted on 5 March 2026, carries the file number FCDA/DC/BP/RSD/PHSII/31854.

The entire site has been fenced off with barbed wire, while construction activities by the developer are already underway. It is marked as a “Residential Development” on Plot No. 546 CAD Zone B03 Wuye. But the #AbujaMasterplan has it as a public health facility.

This is a city now overwhelmed by a paverty of access to basic healthcare & sanitation & in respect of which @HouseNGR has recently urged the declaration of a health emergency.

@SKefason This won't work. Fulani do not do not believe in a sedentary lifestyle. After a while those grazing reserves will become outpost for their migratory brothers and subsequently enclaves amongst indigenous people. Sooner rather than later they will start claiming indigenship.

@SKefason Great insight here. It is something that has always bothered me as well. Proceeds of other crimes tend to be visible in society except for these kidnappers. For instance Yahoo boys impact property prices and luxury spending. But these criminals, you don't see it anywhere.
