My book is out! If you're interested in decolonisation, civic society, and a world in which people compete to make necklaces out of salad produce, this might be up your street.
The brilliant Asylum Link in Liverpool is being targeted tonight by fascists. There is a fundraiser to help them - please donate if you can 🙏🙏🙏

The violence we are experiencing in the UK is both racist and Islamophobic.
These attacks on Muslims and ethnic minority communities must be clearly identified as this, and be condemned by leaders.
Anything less than this, will only embolden the far-right and their violence.
It's legal to claim asylum. People who have asked for help must not be treated this way.
This is an attack on everyone's rights. When universal human rights, like the right to seek safety, are undermined for anyone they're undermined for everyone.

"Labour's opportunistic sanctimony is difficult to stomach. This is the definition of instrumentalisation. Racism is not a game. When a party exploits it for its own political advantage, it cheapens the accusation and deepens the cynicism." https://t.co/KBapDMXzUH
I get more abuse, threats and racism than most MPs. So I don’t say this lightly.
And to be clear: no-one in public life should have their safety threatened, nor be subject to unacceptable abuse.
But I find the debate about public engagement with MPs concerning. Here's why. 1/10
Still shocked by this. The idea that it’s not even statements by institutions which will be policed but also *individuals*. Horrendous, dystopian policing of speech by a Tory government determined to quash descent
The images from Rafah are unbearable.
What is there left to say? Do our political leaders not see what we see? Is there really no limit to what Palestinians must endure?
Enough! Stop equivocating. Stop stalling. Stop hiding — and call for an immediate ceasefire, now.
It's so interesting to see such a swift response from @UKRI_CEO to this open letter. It makes me recall our open letter in 2020 calling out anti-Blackness in UKRI funding, and how protracted that process of getting a meaningful response was. Fascinating.
"You do not get to target civilians because somebody else has targeted civilians. It’s nonreciprocal because your obligations are to the civilians. It’s not a deal between fighters. It’s a deal with humanity."
