I am delighted to reveal the magnificent Olivia Lomenech Gill cover for my new book, GOODNIGHT SILVER! This is first and foremost an adventure. But it is also the story of a young girl learning to hope. A child who is lost in the wild and then saved by it. https://t.co/IsBcmsYUpT

@primaryteachew @simonkids_UK So hope you enjoy it, Emily, and that paths cross on the book circuit soon x

Y6L Tower Bridge Class chose their new class novel yesterday... Having requested a fantasy adventure, then read the blurbs of five books fitting the request, we voted for Sky Song by @abielphinstone ❄️🎶🏰🏔️

(Ms Long is super pleased - she loves this one!)

Well hello @abielphinstone !

#GoodnightSilver is out in October.

Now the question is, am I selfish and keep it to myself or lend it to my friend and the rest of 6AbiElphinstone class as a post SATs treat (and then take it on holiday in the summer)?

[Abi Elphinstone @abielphinstone]

@Misterbodd @simonschusterUK Ha! So hope you enjoy it, Dean!

[Abi Elphinstone @abielphinstone]

I love Olivia Lomenech Gill’s cover for GOODNIGHT SILVER! I’ll reveal the maps (plural!) & illustrations in due course but here u go for the first line of the prologue:

‘The night was still and starlit - the kind of night that looked built for stories.’

I am a writer because I was a reader first. But reading for pleasure is at an all time low. So let's get behind @Literacy_Trust’s #Take10ToRead campaign, aiming to get the nation reading for 10mins a day.

‘Read books as you would breathe air: to fill up & live.’ - Annie Dillard

[Abi Elphinstone @abielphinstone]

At 8yo I had very few teeth, zero dress sense &no time4hairbrushes but I did know a vital truth: that reading, for 10mins a day, is life-changing. It boosts confidence, elevates literacy levels, improves mental health & creates more empathetic humans @Literacy_Trust #Take10ToRead

[Tom G 📕 @checkemoutbooks]

Here is my 8th creation for alternative reads to David Walliams, this time focusing on The Beast of Buckingham Palace. These are ones I’ve particularly enjoyed but what else would you add?
