@skhmavericks I had the privilege of knowing Tony for many years, but particularly when he managed the Provincial Marking Boards for me every summer. He was someone who I came to rely on and to trust. My sincere condolences go out to his family, friends and to the St. Kevin's school community.

ON TOP OF THE CURLING WORLD

There’s another Olympic curling gold coming home to Newfoundland and Labrador.

Nathan Young alongside Hungary’s Laura Nagy soaking up their golden moment at the Youth Olympics. #Lausanne2020

Way to go Nathan!

They’re going crazy in Champery!

Canada and Hungary curlers come together to capture mixed doubles gold. What a brilliant thing this mixed NOC event is.

Nathan Young and Laura Nagy a dynamic duo. Thanks to @deschjo for the photos. See you all tonight!

@WaltDisneyWorld give the crowd 23 minutes through the fastpass line is pretty good.

[Bob Johnston @abikozan]

@WaltDisneyWorld I'm in the longest fast pass line I've ever been in at the Rock n' Rollercoaster at WDW. Presently 10 minutes in the queue. Let's see how long it takes to get to the ride.

@AirCanada I've been stuck in line at Rome airport since 9:45 am. Still in line (11:00 am) though I showed up 4 hours before. Worst service I've ever seen. Thought you should know. An unhappy customer

NEW | Last year was the worst year in history for births in Newfoundland and Labrador

@Chesfishnchips Very disappointed to hear that all locations except Freshwater Road have dropped baked goods. Had a nice meal but no homemade dessert of any kind? Very unhappy kids and I'm not impressed either.

[Bob Johnston @abikozan]

@JonathanGalgay Certainly at large councillors are superfluous and a waste of taxpayer dollars. If the city was broken into 8 wards (with ward councillors) we could save money by cutting two at large councillor positions. Efficiencies must be found, not tax increases.

While finding a public toilet in Paris is pretty challenging to say the least, I'm not sure about this solution. https://t.co/OTnwbggsMC

NL desperately need a MANDATORY civic education course in high school. As a social studies educator I can attest to the alarming lack of knowledge our students have regarding governance and their role as citizens in a democratic society. https://t.co/tz8xu60eP5

Its been a year since I had the privilege of accompanying 19 NL students and 3 teachers on the Trail of the Caribou (see pic). I'm very proud that my students, Rebecca Johannsson & Luke Brockerville were selected for this wonderful opportunity in 2018. #TrailoftheCaribou

Yesterday, our ambassadors doing the #TrailoftheCaribou left to start their journey in Europe! @PremierofNL, who is also heading to Europe for this pilgrimage, got to meet our students before they boarded for their flight.

Safe travels and have fun everyone!
