@damn_barbarian The lack of alternative to Jio and Airtel is the direct consequence of TRAI. I still can't imagine government monopoly over spectrum and the auction that they do for crores. The moment that regulation is dismantled more players can come in.

@damn_barbarian Regulations create monopolies. And that is a consequence of Government control. And Government monopoly in the market is the worst. Monopolies in a free market (less regulations) can only be achieved by offering good for the market.

*Work of God in Repentance:*
Acts 5:31 - "...TO GIVE repentance to Israel..." --> Peter and apostles defending Gospel in Israel

Acts 11:18 - "...God HAS GRANTED repentance..." --> Inference by Jewish believers after Peter explains Cornelius'/Gentiles' baptism.

Romans 2:4 - God kindness leading us to repentance.

2 Timothy 2:25 - Paul's hope/prayer that God may grant repentance to rebels/opponents.

*Work of God in Faith:*
Ephesians 2:8 - "...And this is not your own doing..." --> 'this is not your doing' points to the prior part of the verse; the explanation for 'works' comes in the later verse. In the first part of the verse, we see 3 points - grace, been saved, faith. Grace is obviously from God (v7 - 'his grace'). 'Been saved' is also obviously God's doing as it is connected to grace. Faith is the only thing that we can attribute to humans and Paul is immediately clarifying it by saying this is not your doing.

1 John 5:1 - "Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ has been born of God,..." - who believes (present), has been born (present perfect - happened in past but significant now)
If anybody has confusion for this verse, there is a similar usage by John in 1 John 2:28 - "...everyone who practices righteousness has been born of him." --> For all believers, this will be clear, as we do not practice righteousness (works)a nd be born again.

Acts 18:27 - "...who THROUGH GRACE had believed"- It is very different from 'believed in grace' - we can conclude that people believe through grace.

2 Peter 1:1 - "...obtained a faith of equal standing with ours by the righteousness of our God and Saviour Jesus ..." - obtained/received ---> the greek word does not mean yearned faith. It is used in the contexts where decisions are made by casting lots where the fate is decided by God. So we can conclude that the faith of equal standing with Apostles (objective faith) is given by God. If we are still not clear, Peter continues by writing 'obtained a faith ... by the righteousness of our God and Savior Jesus Christ '. It is not 'obtained a faith IN the righteousness of Jesus', rather 'obtained a faith BY the righteousness' - his work.

1 Corinthians 12:3 - "... Jesus is Lord..." (statement of faith) "...except by the Holy Spirit" (God's work)

Romans 10:17 - "faith comes from hearing and hearing through the word of God". It does not say 'hearing the word of God'; it says hearing comes through the word of God. Hearing capability is by the power of God and hence faith is by the power of God (transitive property). The immediate context is regarding why some don't believe.

*Work of God in our Will:*
Philippians 3:12,13 - "work out your salvation ... for it is God who works in you, both to will and to work" - God works in us for us to will.

"...it is God who works in you, both to will..."
Our will and as a result everything that flows out of that will is the work of God. Salvation therefore results in works and works doesn't result in salvation - work out salvation. So salvation is by Grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone, and (notice this carefully) not by Works. Irrespective of all the identities, Catholic, Protestant etc, if this is what a person understands, he understands the true gospel.
