blockchains were designed for deterministic execution which means every validator is expected to reach the exact same result.

this is the gap @GenLayer solves with optimistic democracy.

it lets validators evaluate whether an outcome is equivalent based on rules defined by the intelligent contract.

if the result falls within those accepted boundaries, consensus is reached.

the process starts with a randomly selected leader proposing an execution result.

other validators independently verify it using different ai models, if the majority agrees, the transaction moves forward.

if someone believes the decision is wrong, they can appeal by posting a bond, each appeal expands the validator set, increasing scrutiny until a stronger consensus is reached.

honest validators are rewarded, while dishonest ones risk slashing.

this lets intelligent contracts handle subjective decisions, real-world events, and live data without sacrificing decentralization.

optimistic democracy isn’t just consensus, it’s the layer that makes reliable ai-powered intelligent contracts possible.
